The monitoring and control of Dissolved Oxygen is one of
the major parameters in a biotechnological process. This is true
for fundamental research as well as for fermentation and cell culture process research. AppliSens DO sensors are manufactured using state-of-the-art technology and are delivered factory tested with membrane module in place.
Two types are available:
Sterilizable 4-pin DO sensor
The sterilizable 4-pin DO sensor is provided with an integrated NTC.
This NTC can be applied when the polarographic DO amplifier is provided with the feature of automatic temperature compensation (ATC). The 4-pin DOsensor is available in various insertion lengths:
- 70mm for DN25 ports (S.I.P. reactors)
- 190mm - 590mm
LowDrift DO sensor
The LowDrift DO Sensor offers a guaranteed low drift and does not have an
integrated NTC. The LowDrift DO sensor has a cable connection which is identical
to the (K9) connector as used with the pH sensors and is available in
various insertion lengths:
All AppliSens DO sensors feature:
- High-grade finish to facilitate cleaning (C.I.P.) electropolished
surface (Ra < 0.8 µm).
- Shaft diameter 12mm
- All electrodes are delivered with a certificate:
good for GLP / GMP
- Long-Life serial code engraving on sensor head:
good for GLP / GMP
- Stable current, broad linearity even after repeated sterilization
- Applicable with all current available polarographic amplifiers
- The sensor can be mounted into virtually any brand of
autoclavable or S.I.P. bioreactor
- A high-quality, low-noise cable standard is available for this sensor
The LowDrift sensor has the extra's like:
- a free spinning PG13.5 connector: easy mounting
- applicable in most commonly used sensor holders like
EasyFix, TracFix a.o.
